Throughout the year on a Saturday or Sunday night, I have clicked on to shareyouradventure.com and looked at what people are doing. Whether its been tramplite in the artic or someone in Cornwall, I have come to the conclusion that everybody has done something this year more interesting than myself. So to try to bring the overall tenor of my year up, last week I booked a trip which is one action packed event after another.
Super Fast train
Travel 1300 km on a SFT( well its a slightly faster train), obviously I am staying in the same state. I was going to say "Travelling on a brand new train to replace a service that they are closing". After a quick search I found that they have freshly painted an old train.
climb mount Walsh
Well not really, I will climb Walsh's Pyramid, which at 922 metres "is the highest freestanding natural pyramid in the world". Now if that line doesn't recieve a nomination for a Cubic Zirconia award for tourism hyperbole, I dont know what will.
Swim with crocodiles at lake Placid
I cant find a suitable image for this a google search procured these results:
According To the local government in Cairns Lake Placid should be croc free.
Great barrier reef
Spend numerous days snorkelling amongst the coral at Green Island.
One of the world great train Journeys
Return home on the Sunlander which has been named in the top 25 rail journeys in the world. This train service will cease on the 31 December 2014, It has been replaced by a new train*(see above for definition of a new train).
